Old Frontiers Quadrant
The Old Frontiers Quadrant was the first to be explored, first by United Earth and later by the Federation. Approximately 55% of this area has been charted by Federation starships, as of 2365. This area contains the 'Core Systems', the original heart of the Federation, as well as the Kzinti Patriarchy, Orion Colonies, and the Imperial Klingon State. The coreward part of the quadrant is dominated by the 'Draconis Outback', an area of disputed space littered with numerous pocket empires and many hazardous regions for navigation.
